We've been trying to get Emma to go down the stairs for a long time now, and today she was finally willing to do it herself, just in time to be one year old tomorrow!

Wow! another grandkid milestone.. My brain must be mush - I forgot today was her birthday; better get to work on that... Grandmas love all the pictures, and I wonder what little kids think about living with the paparazzi. Probably don't even think about it - it is normal for their household

The good news: Now you can take down the giant plywood "gate" on the stairs.
The bad news: Emma just exponentially increase the amount of mischief she can get into!
Oh, and I love the double duty on the documenting. Dan loves it (not) when I make him run the video camera while I'm getting snap happy with the still camera. Fortunately, Lily will soon be reliable enough to help me out just like Dani's helping you out.
