Too Much Beading and Too Much Grubs

Time Log -

Morning - exercised, showered, dressed, did all the Mom-taking-care-of-house-and-kids-stuff, and double-checked an order for brads.
Afternoon - fed kids lunch, did kid and house stuff I don't even remember, then got COMPLETELY distracted by ordering some bead stuff for the Mother's Day albums I'm working on, then it occurred to me that Sue and I could make some cute bracelets for the girls when they are here this weekend for Easter. That was the end of my productivity, as there were so many choices online I couldn't make up my mind. Then, Dani and Emma got into my bead stuff:

Destructo Baby. She loves tearing it all apart!

"Mu-ah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!! It's mine, all mine!"

Dani made this ankle bracelet, which looked so big, that she tried it on Emma for a necklace, and it fit! I completed the anklet with a magnetic clasp, and the amazing thing, is that Emma didn't yank it right off. I see more necklaces in her future...

Foofie, stylin' in the tub right before bed.

Perfect for flip-flops and sandals. Summer is a-comin'!

Then, Gil needed me to run him to Taco Time to check on his job application, and to run him to the college. After 30 minutes of Gil's frustration trying to get us all out of the house he said, "I wish Dad was here! He could drive me right now!" I said, "Well, I'm the mother of four children." I know he's counting the days until he can drive himself places. Ughh. Then I suggested we all get a Taco at Taco Time while we waited for Gil. It wound up being an impulse-trip to a local burger joint called Grubs:

The Shamrock is their specialty - a double cheeseburger with the works. We also got shakes. It was good, but expensive. My $5 taco concept turned into $35. I got chewed out later by Zen when he got home from the Field. Add that to my frustration over wasting my day, and I was cranky by the end of the night when we read scriptures. Backtrack a little - after coming home from Grubs, I spent some time cleaning up all the bead mess, and finishing Dani's ankle bracelet. Then, it was kid and house stuff the rest of the night, with some occasional slobbering over beading projects. After putting the kids in bed, some time alone on my laptop soothed the troubled beast. Sometimes you just have enough of fifty people wanting a piece of you. But now I'll go to bed. Tomorrow is a new day, and I hope to get more done. Zen will be home for two days. I hope he can field some of the more mundane things and basic kid stuff for me. A girl can dream...

OK, instead of thinking I'll get caught up with commenting later, I'll just do it now and try to catch up with the other posts later.

I'm totally laughing at the picture at Grubs. I can only imagine the embarrassment Gil is feeling while the waitress snaps a pic of him and his family for his photo obsessed mother! Indeed, "when can I get my license and just take myself places?!"

The pic of Emma with the spoons is awesome! "I have the POWER!"

I'm thinking I'll bag all attempts at scrapbooking while we're there this weekend and just bead and watch movies. Can't wait!
