You Likee?

Okay, I finally did it. Here's my new blog layout. You likee? And you know, there's really only one right answer (like the question, does this dress make my butt look big?) So, pile on the praise, ladies!

Time Log -
7:42 am - Foofie woke me up, gave her a bottle, snuggled with her while I got on the computer, talked to Dani before she went to school, then I got totally distracted reading plot synopses on IMDB.com of Supernatural, season 4. Yes, Sue, I finally watched all the episodes of Season 3, so that addiction has been curtailed for the time being. But when season 4 comes out on dvd this summer, there will be a Supernatural marathon.
9:35 am - after snuggling and playing with Foofie, I got off my crack and exercised. 30 min Gazelle, resist #2, 20 crunches, 20 side-crunches each side, 20 backwards crunches, 10 real situps, then repeated all that again. Gotta work on my six-pack (yes, that makes me giggle at myself, because my six-pack will probably never see the light of day under all this flab, but stomach muscles are still good). Found a good article on the best ab exercises: http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises.htm. I'll do some of those tomorrow
10:20 am - went upstairs, helped kids (Connor woke up during my exercising), ate breakfast (see, Katie, I ate breakfast), fed Emma, washed some pots & pans, started my blog post for the day. I like to add to it throughout the day, in an effort to avoid the hour-long posting session late at night. I haven't been too successful with that, I think just because I save all the photo selection, editing, and dowloading for the end of the day.
I stopped to take pics of Emma, because I wanted a pic of her snuggling her blankie. I give her the red fuzzy snowflake blankie, and tell her to "make a snuggle", and she'll ususally snuggle it.

"Make a blankie snuggle," I say to Emma.

Then, I went on doing my thing at the computer. A little later, I noticed it was quiet, so I went into the tv room, and she was asleep on the floor:

Good baby, good baby. I think she falls asleep on the floor when we've had lots of snuggle time, and she feels content.
I went downstairs to look up some things for Sue to see if we could get a Bazzill cardstock order by Friday, but no dice (next time we do a Girl's Weekend, I need to email everyone about two weeks before, and see if we want to get a group order together.) I kept working at the computer, but I had trouble concentrating and was fighting hard not to fall asleep, and this kind of made me restless and hungry. Thus, the snackies (see Food Log).
1:25 pm - Emma woke up, and started playing. Here she is, doing one of her usual daily activities, dumping videos off the shelves:

Baby Destructo

I just haven't made up my mind to move all of them somewhere else. I probably should reorganize in the tv room, but that's just another project I can't get to right now.
2:45 pm - Anyway, after making sure Connor and Emma were content (Emma diaper changed, & lying down for a few minutes with her bottle and blankie, Connor with a milk sipper), I gave up studying and just about fell over, and I took a nap in Gil's room for a while. I could hear the kids come home from school shortly after that, so I stayed and slept a while longer.
4:15 pm - got up to help the kids, then I realized I needed to hurry fast and get an eBay order mailed. I barely made it to the post office on time. Whew! Then, I came home, helped kids, sat at my laptop for a while.
5:30 pm - Went upstairs to cook dinner. Connor was disappointed the cake was all gone (this happens when there are six people in the house, and four of them eat adult portions), so Connor and I mixed together another lemon poppy seed cake and put it in the oven. Then I started cooking broccoli cheese soup, with potatoes, onions, and bacon. It was really yummy. I tried to work at my laptop while dinner cooked.
7:30 pm - ate dinner, and worked at my laptop, did a load of laundry for Foofie, so she would have clean jammies for bedtime.
8:15 pm - we all read scriptures with Zen, who was going to bed early for a 3am yard call.
9:15 pm - I went upstairs to get the kids ready for bed. Bathed Emma, got Connor ready, then went back down to my laptop.
10:00pm to 4:20 am - yep, I really stayed up that late to finish tweaking my blog. And yes, I designed all my own graphics, too (impressive, sí?) Now, it's totally sweet, and better yet, I know how to fix it any time I want with any cool new stuff I feel like designing!!! If anyone wants me to fix theirs, I can totally do that (Chris, I'm begging you, let me fix your date/time issues!!!!) Just change your password temporarily, send me the new log-in info, and I'll fix your blog. Then, when I'm done, you can change your password again. Awesome!!

11 am - Malt o Meal (¼ cup dry & 1 cup water) cooked with strawberries
11:50 am - cracked wheat crackers, herb cream cheese dip I made last week for the philly steak & cheese sandwiches, it was either fat free or light
1:30/2:00 pm - bad case of the munchies, ate a piece of cake, chowed on a can of baby puffs, about 100 calories
7:30 pm - two bowls of broccoli cheese soup, two little pieces of lemon poppy seed cake and about two big scoops of ice cream,
10:00 pm - one fat free vanilla pudding

Honey, You're Still 25 to Me

Under Construction - "This is a temporary blog post. I'll be messing around with my blog, trying to get it to look and do exactly what I want it to do." That's how today's blog post started out. Did I get to that? No, I did not. Pooh. But thanks Katy, for being excited about it. I'll start on it tomorrow. I hope it will be fabulous, and worth the wait. It's 11:30 pm, and I am just now getting back to my blog post, so needless to say, I'm finishing today's happenings, and going to bed.

Time Log -
3am - went to bed (I'm a naughty bird! Watched too much Supernatural)
7:00 am - woke up to get ready for church, put another cake in the oven, talked with Zen, he laid hints that today was a special day, and at first I thought he was talking about the Draper temple dedication, and then it hit me - it's his birthday today. I sung happy birthday to him, and I thought - WE ARE THE BIGGEST SLACKERS, WE TOTALLY FORGOT HIS BIRTHDAY! AAARRGGHHH!!! I whisper this to the kids as we get ready for church. He's thirty-nine today, but he stills looks 25 to me.
7:50 am - in the shower, get myself & the rest of my lesson ready, cooked the rice for lunch/dinner later
9:10 am - in the pew at church (there's always a seat up front, how nice), barely made it for the sacrament, ran out later to get stuff from the house for my lesson, gave my lesson, it went well, time passed quickly, handed out my mini scrapbooks, and did this show-and-tell allegory with cake mix ingredients, and gave them all slices of lemon poppy-seed bundt cake that I cooked that morning. It was the first time I had a little fun teaching a lesson, it wasn't completely terrifying. And it was spiritual, too, believe it or not.
12:10 pm - home from church, made chicken fried rice, very yummy, one of my favorites. Then I totally vegged in my room with Supernatural, and a monkey-load of food.
3:30 pm - Zen, Dani, and Gil left to attend the broadcast of the Draper Temple dedication. I went upstairs to watch after Connor and Emma. Just hung out with them. Connor and I iced the bundt cake for Zen. He kept begging to eat it, and I kept reminding him that we had to wait for Daddy to get back because it was his birthday cake.
6:20 pm - They all finally came home, and put candles on the cake, and we sang happy birthday to him:

Load the candles

Light them

Yummy lemon poppy-seed bundt cake!

Blow out the candles. I'm always a fan of the goofy pictures.

Not having any cards or presents, because we are slackers, I got the forgotten valentine's day cards out of my nightstand (yep, still sealed in the envelopes), and we opened them for his birthday. Here's the one for Zen:

Front
Inside left.
Inside right.
Awww... I prefer the funny cards over the mushy cards any day.

This one was to me. Zen reminded me that I'm the "monkey" girl, thus the extra significance of the card -

"Happy Valentine's Day from your Love Monkey" Zen read this out loud, and Gil goes, "GROSS!! Stop it, that's just gross!!!" I felt proud, we grossed out our teenager, it was a successful parenting moment.
The back of the card makes me laugh, too. A little extra suggestiveness puts the icing on the cake, so to speak.

And on another topic, here's Foofie:

My Moochie Girl. Her eyes practically bug out of her head when she sees someone with food, then she scoots on over for a bite.

"Just stuff it in, Daddy!"

During the birthday celebrations, there was a phone call. It showed up as the 2nd Counselor in the bishopric's name on the caller id, and it reminded me that I forgot/procrastinated doing my Friends of Scouting route, so I let the phone go to voicemail, and as soon as everyone was happily settled eating cake, I went downstairs, made the phonecalls, then went out to collect donations.
8:30 pm - back home, start getting everyone ready for bed, picking up the tv room while they finished watching Disney's Tarzan, then we read scriptures.
10:00 pm - Connor decided to take a bath, which he desparately needed, so I indulged his playtime while I checked my email. Sold some stuff (Sue, I've got some more money for this weekend, about $100 more!), and even though it was naughty (no working on Sunday, remember?), I answered an email from the customer.
11:30 pm - do the blog post, because even though I know it means staying up late, I need to get it out of my "inbox" of things to do. I don't want to get behind, or I'll never catch up.
12:50 done with post, go to bed, definitely sleeping in tomorrow

Food Log -
1 pm - ate a bowl of chicken fried rice, two choc fat free puddings, a bowl of ice cream, a glass of orange juice
5 or 6 pm - snitched some more chicken fried rice out of the pan, 1 to 1½ cups, maybe
8:30 pm - probably had 3 or 4 pieces of bundt cake

Dude, I Totally Wanted to Be a Slacker Today But I Resisted

went to bed about 2am
6:50 am - Emma woke up cranky, I gave her a bottle and she went back to sleep, thank goodness. I couldn't resist checking my email to see if anyone had posted comments on my blog, and then I was cleaning out my inbox
7:30 am - went back to bed, my body does this thing where if it's behind on sleep my nose is itchy and runny, so while I knew I'd have a hard time falling back asleep (I have some serious insomnia issues sometimes), I lay in bed for a while to get some more sleep, I eventually fell asleep, don't know when
9:30 am - woke up when I heard Emma in the baby monitor, lay there a while, went to my computer, can't remember what I was doing, but then I did some laundry, and got dressed to go to the rec center. Went upstairs to check in with the kids, got Emma out of the tub and dried her off (she had a poopy diaper and the kids put her in the tub), dressed her, fed her, the kids were dining on chocolate cake and soda pop for breakfast, because all the junkfood was still out on the counter from Gil's party last night, where's the responsible adult in the house?!! I refused to fill Connor's sipper with rootbeer, and gave him milk instead, then ignored his temper tantrum as I ran off to the rec center to exercise
11 am to 11:30 am - weighed myself in the locker room at the rec center before I started exercising, I'm even more horrified at what I see. I think I just gotta quit eating after 6pm, and make nighttime my smallest meal. I did the elliptical, 30 min., 2.25 miles, 340.5 calories, 3825 strides, resistance #6. I feel great exercising, could probably push myself some more. My heart and lungs are doing pretty great. My muscles give out before they do. I hope my heart health is good. Anyway, I ran home, kissed Emma (there are just not enough baby kisses in a day), and showered/dressed as fast as I could.
12:05 pm - got back to the rec center for iceskating lessons. I'm just on the verge of passing from Beta level into Gamma level, where Dani is, and Larry, the adult class's awesome instructor, was kind of on the fence about where I should start when lessons start up again in the fall. The rink is closing in a few weeks, they don't keep it open in the summer, but I hear they are going to open it towards the end of August. If I get my tail end in gear and practice at least a few times a week before lessons start up (the rink is usually open a month before lessons start), I might sign up for Gamma in the fall.
1:00 pm - back home, and as we pull up, Connor is outside in his jammies and soggy pullup, standing there while one of our neighbors puts his shoes on. What the?!!!! I'm just rolling my eyes, and make some comment to the lady about how putting his older brother in charge obviously wasn't working (I'm a good parent, really, I did NOT leave a three-year-old home by himself!) Man, I can just see it, this summer is going to be difficult. Connor is just going to take off whenever he feels like it. Ughh, another Dani situation. Gonna have to install padlocks or something on the inside of the doors, because he's smart enough to get a stool and undo a deadbolt. Maybe get one of those prison house-arrest ankle bracelets? Do those come sized for toddlers? Anyway, I went in the house, Gil's playing computer and has no idea his little brother was outside, Emma is asleep, I chew out Gil, and help Connor get dressed. He went outside to play again and came back, saying something about how the lady told him no, he couldn't go in their house. Geez. He goes out to the backyard, gets a little gardening shovel, and heads back out to the front yard to dig in the dirt.
I ate lunch, which is really just a snack, switched the laundry, sat down at my computer, and got sidetracked by ads for acai berries and colon cleansers. I'm intrigued, but not excited about buying just any garbage off the internet. Seems like either a waste of money, or a recipe for a trip to the emergency room.
Dani got baby dressed in her swimsuit, and I got Connor dressed. They played in the front yard in the hose, and before I really got up from my computer to take pics, they were all cold and came inside.
2:45 pm - writing my blog post now, I really, really want to go back to bed and watch Supernatural episodes and be lazy, but I've got this lesson tomorrow, and I don't want to be up until 2am freaking out because I'm not ready.
3:15 pm - caught up on my blog post for the day, start prepping Relief Society lesson for tomorrow, little interruptions here and there, Zen came home (YEAY!), read through the talk again, thinking about how to present it, decide to make these little mini scrapbooks, super super simple, just diecut mini book cover & inside pages, staple them together. Spent a long time picking out pics to put in it with the theme of "What I'm grateful for, things I love."
8:00 - finally ordered the pics online. WHAT IN THE UNHOLY MONKEYS HAPPENED TO MY TIME???!!!!!! NO way did I spend 4½ hours doing pics! I started digital scrapbooking them, and it got simpler and simpler until I just did plain reprints. I only had EIGHT 8 EIGHT 8 yes, just 8, prints ordered by 8 pm (2 3" pics on each print for a total of 16 pics), but still, 4½ hours? Good grief! Here's what I started with:

Pics I took today of Foofie-Loo, who was seriously cute in her bathing suit and totally begging for bites of my chocolate cake. She is the biggest puppy-dog-face food moocher. Completely irresistable.

Anyway, back to the log. I started dinner at 8, fish sticks & tator tots, totally gourmet at our house tonight, watched some tv with Zen
8:45 pm - went to Wal-Mart to pick up my pics. But they quit printing at 8pm!!!! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!! There went my 4½ hours of work, because I'm a dork. I wanted to cry, but I rallied and started formulating a plan B, because there just isn't time to be mopey. Pres. Monson's talk is about coping with change, anyway. So, I stick with my diecutting concept, but instead of telling everyone to stick in pictures, I'll just hand out pens, and we'll all write down things we love and appreciate. Simple. I got Foofie in bed about 9:15, 9:30, then turned the other kids over to Zen (Gil was at a stake dance, so it was just Dani & Connor), and I went downstairs to go back to work on my lesson. I printed it out, marking which parts to read, which parts to have others read, etc., then I got to work diecutting. Dani joined me, and sat at my laptop looking at pictures. There are some great ones, just waiting to be printed, blogged, or both. So many good times! Can't even start writing about it, got too much to do.
12:45 am - So, now I'm sitting here, finishing my post for the day, then I'll go upstairs and make a poppy seed cake, get a bowl of ice cream, and watch Supernatural while I staple more mini albums together. Guten Abend (good night)!

Food Log -
water for exercising, 16 to 24 oz.
1:30 pm - tortilla chips and salsa, have no idea how much, somewhere around ¼ to 1/3 of a bag, had a chocolate (but fat free) pudding, most of a piece of choc cake sans icing
9:00 pm - plate of fish sticks (8 to 10) and tator tots (20?), can of red creme soda pop
1:00 am - ate a bowl of ice cream, two fish sticks, five tator tots, & a mozz. cheese stick

Spring Has Started! Pine Cones Taste Good!

Hey, got some pics today!! It's been a little warmer each day for about a week. The high today was 63°. Can you believe it! The record high for this day was 65° in 2004. Does that mean we are in for a crazy hot summer? Man, we better get that back yard ready, at least with grass, and maybe with a platform deck for Connor's bikes. I better start raking up some of that gravel, and go get some grass seed. I have this idea for a fun little water play center for Connor. Better keep that in mind, too.

Reflection on my eBay store - Okay, reality check. I am probably not going to get I'm working just about as hard as I can. I could cut out these 1 hour naps I seem to be taking lately, and go to bed earlier so I can get up earlier, but I don't know what else to do to work harder. Besides, it's probably the same productivity if I just stay up late and work past the kids' bedtime and sleep in, or go to bed early and get up before the little ones do so I can start work earlier. I don't know. I was going to get stuff going, and sell, sell, sell, so I had extra play money for next week, but I won't have as much as I hoped. I'm just on a steep learning curve right now, updately my technology. And it has to be done, because I have probably over 200 items to list in my eBay store, and I can't go back and revise that many pages later if I just do a quickie solution right now. It's better to invest the time to learn how to do it right before I start programming that many items into my store. My plan for tomorrow - get my Relief Society lesson ready, and remodel my blog, using my new web programming knowledge. It will be a good prep for my eBay store. Plus, I bet I get some more pictures up tomorrow!

Time Log -

6:55 - alarm went off, lay around in bed, got up at 7:45 am, got dressed for exercise
8:15 to 8:45 am - exercise, Gazelle 30 min., resist. #2
8:45 am - dress kids, feed Emma, shower & dress, do laundry, wash dishes, get on the computer, eat breakfast, look up capris at Walmart.com, studying
11:45 am - Emma down for a nap, back to studying, Emma wouldn't nap, so she got up and played.
1:10 pm - put Emma down for a nap again, this time she slept
1:30 pm - tired again, lay down on the couch for a nap
2:45 pm - got up, back on the computer, I finally finished studying the basics of HTML, XHTML, and CSS, took the online quizzes, and have a grasp on how to proceed, so now I can start the actual programming.
3:30 pm - about this time, Dani was home, she was hanging out in the front of the house, so I suggested she take baby outside, then Connor went out, then I followed to take pictures of Emma's first time playing outside this spring. Here are the pics:

See, the snow has finally melted away. There is only a tiny little patch of ice next to the garage.

Emma was so excited to be outside!

I can see it now, he'll just be dying to roam the neighborhood all summer. I've got to get that extra deck built, so he's got a big, fenced-in space to ride.

Yahoo!

Dani took this pic. Kids have such good instincts when it comes to photography and art. They can really think outside the box.

See, Momma, here I go!

Headin' down the highway, lookin' for adventure!

Yep, no more army crawling. She's a hands and knees girl now.

Emma stopped and spotted a pine cone.

She gnawed on it with enthusiasm!

"Now which one do I want to eat - the phone, the pine cone, or my binky?"

This is Connor's favorite kitty, in front of our neighbor's house, which he calls "Connor's house." Go figure. He loves to pet and kiss the kitty, surprising for such a rough-and-tumble kid.

4:30 pm - after finally managing to get Connor back in the house, I was back on the computer studying various blogs, trying to understand the code.
6:30 pm - threw the hamburgers on the grill, ran to Smith's for Gil's snacks (he invited the teenagers over again), took Connor with me, who had an unholy monkey because I wouldn't buy the round Tostitos chips (they cost twice as much), man shopping with kids sucks sometimes
7:05 pm - back home, making dinner, helping Connor, checking in on all the teenagers now and then, and studying blog code from various blogs, downloading the FTP program for putting files on my website, getting the bare minimum up on my website, just so I officially have a place to start storing my own files, in prep for remodeling my blog tomorrow, and getting new items into my eBay store. The real programming of my website is a project that ultimately will have to wait for the eBay sales and store to be underway. It's a lower priority right now. At midnight I realized I wasn't going to be able to remodel my blog, that will have to wait for tomorrow, so I got my post done.
1:00 am - post to my blog, go get some icecream and watch an episode of Supernatural, because darn it, I deserve it! I'm finally making some progress.

Food Log -
water with exercising, about 16 oz.
10 or 10:30 am - Malt O' Meal, ¼ cup dry cooked w/4x water, frozen strawberries
added to the cooking, a few handfuls of choc Teddy Grahams
12:15 pm - about 1½ cups leftover chicken cesear salad from last night, also ate about ½ cup of frog-eye fruit salad, shared a vanilla pudding (fat free) with Emma
7:00 pm - two grilled hamburgers, about two handfuls of chips, two cans soda pop, ate two Hersheys kisses

Yep, Still Studying

Time Log -

6:50 am - woke up, got dressed to exercise, turned on my laptop to check my email (my blog posts have been kind of boring lately, huh?), got dressed to exercise. Then, for no good reason, I decided to clean stuff off my dresser that had been sitting there since we unpacked 2½ years ago, as well as cleaning out my jewelry box, which had junk in there that I'd accumulated since I was in high school. Don't worry, I didn't throw out the family heirlooms, but man, I got rid of some junk that seriously needed to go. Most of it wasn't even worthy to donate to D.I.
8:15 am - by the tail end of that project, Emma woke up. I snuggled her, sat at my laptop for a few minutes debating if I should wait until Connor woke up, so he could play with her while I exercised.
9:05 am - I went ahead and exercised, 30 min. Gazelle resist. #2, Connor woke up about halfway through, so I took Emma upstairs, finished exercising, then went upstairs, changed Emma's diaper, got her dressed, fed her, and I balanced my checkbook and paid some bills online, ate breakfast, then I went downstairs & showered & dressed.
12:00 pm - came upstairs, and started cooking the pasta for the pasta salad I'm taking to the Cub Scouts Blue & Gold banquet tonight. Made the salad, put Emma down for a nap, back on the computer
1:30 pm - felt like I was going to fall over at my desk, so I laid down for a quick nap.
2:15 pm - awake again and back at the computer, Emma woke up, then I messed around on Amazon getting a couple web programming books for the long haul, plus a video for Girls' Weekend, back to studying web programming
5:00 pm - update blog post, leave for scouts, we are having the Blue & Gold Banquet tonight.
8:30 pm - back home, put Emma to bed, help kids clean up, read scriptures, put Connor to bed
9:25 pm - downstairs to work at my laptop & study web programming some more, a little pillow-finding interruption from Connor and a little snuggle-me-I-had-a-nightmare interruption from Emma, but I kept at it until midnight, and now I'll post this.

Food Log -
11 am - Malt O' Meal (¼ cup dry, then add water), frozen berries added, 2 of the 1½" pumpkin choc chip cookies
12:30 pm - had a little bit of the pasta salad, maybe 1 cup, then I chomped on graham crackers, ate about ½ lb. baby carrots, ate Emma's baby puffs cereal (man, it's like eating rice cakes, 90 pieces are only 25 calories), one swallow of raspberry soda pop, 2 more cookies
6:30 pm - ate a monkey-load of food at the Cub Scout Blue & Gold dinner, I have no willpower when it comes to buffets, probably three plates-full of food. Geez, that's embarrassing, yet oh, so good (cesear salad with lots of little things & this fruit salad that had some kind of whip cream/strawberry yogurt dressing on it)

Today Was Better - Lots of Studying

Time Log -
Asleep by about 12:30 am, woke up about 5:30, went back to sleep
6:55 am - the alarm went off, and I actually got up. I sat at my laptop for 30 min, then I went into my room to put on my exercise clothes. I walked past my bed... and after a few seconds' hesitation, I literally fell right into it. Good grief.
8:50 am - dragged myself out of bed, got dressed to exercise, Emma got up, gave her a bottle while I exercised, did 30 min. on the Gazelle, resist. #2
9:40 am - done exercising, just played with and snuggled Emma, then Connor woke up, I gave him a bath & got him dressed, dressed Emma, I got in the shower, got dressed
11:30 am - then came upstairs, ate breakfast, started working on blog layout and simultaneously studying web programming so I can understand a working example of web programming, and what each thing does.
12:40 pm - Emma down for nap, keep on studying, alternated that with cooking lunch for Connor, & making choc chip pumpkin cookies
4:00 pm - quit studying & lay down for a nap
4:50 pm - got up, went upstairs, helped kids, made dinner
5:30 pm - went to rec center to tell instructors we couldn't make it to class, and to ask if we could crash Saturday's class
5:45 pm - picked up Dani at the house, then went to East Junior High to register her for junior high next year. Yikes! She's going to be in junior high. Be still my heart. Then we went to Wal-Mart
7:00 pm - back home, took care of Emma, helped Connor, Zen came home for the night, he'll go back out in the field tomorrow
7:35 pm - went to the rec center to iceskate a little, weighed myself in the women's locker room when I was done, I was horrified. No ice cream for me!
8:05 pm - back home, got Emma ready for bed & put her to bed, then we all read scriptures, I came downstairs & inventoried the backordered items I received from Notions Marketing.
9:25 pm - get time log post up to date for the night, study web programming
10:10 pm - quit, finish post, talk with Zen, go to bed, will try to get an early start tomorrow

5:30 pm - 2 pieces french bread pizza, 12 oz. raspberry soda pop
10 pm - more water

Yep, Still a Slacker

Dude, it's 11pm, and I'll do a seriously condensed version of my day, cause the less we linger on my slackerness, the better. It's just embarrassing.

8:56 am - Sue called me, and I pretended that I was already awake, 'cause I was up late again last night. Sue, you did a pretty good rant today. While I agree with the topic, I feel somehow chastised in the crossfire, pickin' up some butt-chewin' vibes off that one, I tell ya, 'cause I was useless today, too. But I exercised and snuggled kids a lot, so I guess I wasn't completely useless. And there was some minor web programming studying, so...
Anyway, got up, turned on the laptop, read email, etc., got up with the kids, bottle for Emma, milk for Connor, etc. Then I dressed for exercise, did my workout, 30 min. on my Gazelle, resistance #2, then took care of kids some more, felt all spunky because the weather has been warmer the past week, and there's only a few tiny patches of snow left in the front yard. So, I busted out the capris and sassy sandles, and fixed my hair. Then, because Gil was home sick with the flu today, I hurried over to the middle school to pay Dani's lunch money bill, sans little children.
12:00 pm - I made the mistake of putting down Emma for a nap, making lunch, and telling myself I could watch an episode of Supernatural while I had lunch. It's my current form of crack, I think, too addicting. It's half serious, half funny, really makes me laugh sometimes. And hey, it has two hot guys saving the world... that's all I'm going to say. The day fell apart after that. And here's the shorthand - all afternoon I was a slug. That's it, no detail needed, although I did a fun photo shoot with Foofie-Loo because she was 9 months old today. Must post that tomorrow.
6:00 pm - went upstairs, grilled some awesome homemade burgers (as opposed to grilled the frozen patties). Dude, some good summer times are comin'. Ran the video back to Smith's. Watched American Idol while I looked through the jewelry books I ordered off Amazon, that came in the mail today. They are luscious, and I better get my butt in gear if I'm going to have any money to play with at the end of next week. Aaarggghh!!!! Sue, you better call me tomorrow and kick my hiney. Anyway, hangin' with the kids, we read scriptures about 8:40 pm, picked up the tv room, got kids in bed, I finished looking through the jewelry books, deciding which ones to keep, and which ones to send back.
11 pm - check email and write my blog post really quick, or at least attempt to.

Food today - Quick list:
12 pm to 2pm - two pieces french toast (Gil begged me to make them, they are his favorite), then I ate my Malt-o-Meal w/ frozen fruit, then about a dozen pieces of Hershey's kisses, a big junkload of tortilla chips and fat-free cottage cheese, water
7 pm - an awesome grilled burger w/ cheese, and about 16 oz. raspberry soda pop, a regular bowl of choc cherry truffle ice cream.
